The compositions are inspired by Guillaume Apollinaire’s poem L’Enchanteur pourrissant, an interpretation of the medieval legend of the sorcerer Merlin. They feature various field recordings captured in the South Caucasus, along with hurdy-gurdy, wind instruments, gusli, percussion, vinyl loops, accordion, and voice.

Militia Aurora:
Götzendämmung features fragments from Nietzsche and The Wild Staircase from the short story of the same name by Martin Locker. All Instruments by Herrscher des Waldes. (Glasberg/Numinous Kombattant)
